A bit about DTCS Financial...

Originally from Nottingham, I grew up in Lincolnshire and moved to Wales around the turn of the century, so I've now been resident in Wales for over half my life!  Working in financial services for well over 20 years has given me a wealth of experience, and the opportunity to work with some amazing people.

I'm qualified to Diploma level in mortgage advice (DipMAP), above the required level held by many advisers.  I also hold qualifications in Equity Release (CeRER) and Investments (CeFA), though I don't offer advice in these areas and these were studied purely to provide me with a broad base of knowledge to ensure I can offer my clients the very best, holistic advice.

Outside of Financial Services, I've also studied to CertHE level in Counselling.  This may seem a little at odds with my role in finance, but it's my belief that money, our relationship with it, and our understanding of it, is deeply intertwined with our overall wellbeing.  Whenever we work together, I hope to provide not only assistance and advice on the facts and practicalities, but also ensure you're supported throughout the process, and you feel able to talk openly with me as far as you want to about any concerns or anxieties you may have relating to the matters we're working on.  

Alongside my work, I am studying towards a BSc (Hons) Psychology with Counselling, which is challenging and enjoyable in equal measure, adding more depth to my approach to providing you with advice that's not only suitable financially but also for you as an individual.

My hobbies include bass playing, learning Spanish, personal development and growth, spirituality, mindfulness, politics, cookery, and I've held a real passion for cars since being able to talk!  I'm fortunate to spend several months of the year, when I'm not in Wales, over in the Canary Islands, and have met some wonderful people whose diversity has given greater insight into varying perspectives on money and our unique approaches to it.
